Set on a working farm, this fresh and idyllic holiday lodge makes a fabulous retreat for couples seeking a secluded getaway in beautiful surroundings. Just half a mile from the Scottish border, and only a few miles from both Gretna Green and Hadrian’s Wall, this delightful log cabin has been stylishly furnished to provide warm and cosy accommodation for two guests. Featuring a private hot tub and a sauna, this delightful country hideaway is ideal for keen walkers, cyclists and honeymooners exploring this tranquil area.

This bright, light-filled and welcoming cabin features a spacious and inviting open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which provides a great space to unwind in. The lounge is ideal for snuggling up in the evening to chat about the day or watch a movie, while the central dining area makes a lovely spot for enjoying all your favourite meals. The stylishly designed kitchen has plenty of equipment and is a pleasure to cook in. Exploring further, the pretty bedroom has a comfortable double bed as well as a TV. The lodge also has a refreshing shower room as well as a private sauna. Stepping back outside, a decked area runs round the lodge, with garden furniture providing a lovely space for a morning coffee, and a private hot tub for you to luxuriate in.

The cabin is set on a farm with sheep and a variety of poultry, and is just a couple of miles from some friendly pubs. Within easy reach of the bustling town of Gretna (6.5 miles) and the historic market town of Brampton (14 miles), this delightful lodge is ideally situated for exploring the border of England and Scotland. Local attractions include the Solway Aviation Museum near Carlisle (12 miles), the Solway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (14 miles) and Gilnockie Tower (4 miles).

This is a fantastic holiday cottage where the owner has paid close attention to detail. The furnishings and fittings are excellent quality, the owner is welcoming and friendly, the welcome pack was full of lovely surprises. We had a wonderful time, felt very relaxed and comfortable and will definitely return in the future.

We loved the lodge, everything was top class. The hot tub and sauna were luxury. We had the most wonderful welcome gifts that we have ever received and we have stayed in a lot of properties. It was lovely to watch the animals, chickens and wildlife. We enjoy walking and found good walks in the surrounding areas every day and recommend the Graham ArRead morems in Longtown for Sunday dinner. Hide

A beautiful lodge with a lovely owner who could not do enough for us. The lodge is furnished beautifully down to the very last detail and top quality. The little extras Adele adds is so very kind and thoughtful

fantastic holiday cottage, defiantly 5 star. location is good for Lake District. Sycamore cafe in Longtown well worth a visit customer service and food, excellent. The only downfall for us was the farm noise. 2.20 am every night for the whole time we stayed.( 2 weeks ) Cockerels, geese, ducks, chickens( foxes screaming few nights as well ). We had Read moreto buy ear plugs to get some sleep. The cabin is on the farm which should be made more visible on the booking also the farm noise was horrendous. Hide

Lodge is beautiful, clean, well equipped with furnishings of a very high standard . Extra touches throughout much appreciated. It was my birthday and there were flowers, balloons & wine which was lovely. The welcome pack is stuffed with treats. My partner loved the sauna and we both relaxed in the hot tub. We loved the birds waddling about in the gRead morearden, although didn't appreciate the cockerels at 4am!! Take earplugs. Pub not close enough for us to walk to at 1.7 miles away so didn't try it. We booked the lodge for a summer retreat following our wedding the Saturday prior. We booked at extremely late notice due to the curtailment of our holiday abroad. After a small struggle to locate the lodge we pulled into our parking area and were shown around by the host. The lodge is a beautiful building and well decorated throughout. Beautiful lodge! We had such a lovely 5 days visiting the area. We were able to fully relax after a stressful lead up to our wedding. The owners were so lovely and thoughtful the extra little touches makes the difference. even the geese the welcoming and we loved their little visits! Highly recommend this lodge!

We have recently returned from a stay at Sebastopol Lodge and I can honestly say we had one of the best 'staycations' ever. The property was immaculate with high end furnishings and equipment. The owner Mrs Taylor adds so many lovely additional touches that made us feel very welcome and valued. She certainly goes the extra mile with her holidaymakeRead morers. The setting is lovely and secluded and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. I cannot recommend this property enough! Hide
