Unique cottage, bursting with style, in a quiet location within the Eden Valley. A fabulous base for couples who love exploring the outdoors, with an abundance of walking and cycling opportunities nearby.

This is a lovely home from home for two people, located on the edge of the Lake District National Park and North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The property is all laid out on the ground floor You’ll find a well-equipped kitchen with a handy breakfast bar that is open plan to the cosy living area. The spacious bedroom has a super-king-size bed that can also be made up as a twin on request, and the bathroom has a fabulous modern shower cubicle. Outside the cottage is a designated parking space and a delightful decking area with outdoor seating for two. Guests also have access to the outside area shared with the other two cottages within the grounds.

Located in the peaceful village of Edenhall, there are local footpaths to explore from the door - dogs and humans alike will love the Ladies Walk that takes you through the village along the picturesque River Eden. Treat yourselves to a meal out - guests at the cottage can even book in for breakfast if they'd like - at the popular village hotel, just a short stroll from the cottage. Spend a peaceful afternoon fishing at nearby Whins Pond or take in a round of golf at Penrith Golf Course. Penrith itself is a historic market town with plenty of shops and supermarkets for stocking up on essentials.

The Lake District National Park is within easy reach, so why not spend some time exploring there? Head to Keswick, the adventure capital of the North Lakes, or visit Grasmere, a charming village in the South Lakes that was once home to the poet William Wordsworth and is renowned for its eponymous gingerbread. Edenhall sits at the foot of the Pennines, a beautiful but wild area renowned for its hill walking opportunities. Whatever you decide to do during your stay, this property will be a welcome retreat to return to after a day out exploring.

An open-plan living-dining-kitchen area makes fantastic use of the space. The large living area is light and bright but also homely and cosy: the best of both worlds! There's a three-seater sofa, a Smart TV for entertainment and an electric fire, perfect for relaxing evenings in. The kitchen area is well equipped and is sure to please the cook in the party - it has an electric oven and hob, handy microwave, fridge and even a dishwasher. A breakfast bar with two seats in the kitchen is a great spot for morning coffee whilst spreading out your maps and guidebooks to plan the day's adventures; then gather round the dining table and compare notes on the day's events over your home cooked meals.

The next room you come to is the gorgeous bedroom, a relaxing room with a very inviting super-king-size bed. This room has a Smart TV, a useful wardrobe and a chest of drawers for storage, plus a lovely outlook over the surrounding greenery. The room can also be made up as a twin on request, should you prefer this layout for your stay.

The modern shower room has a WC, washbasin and shower cubicle, ideal for freshening up after a day out exploring.

As well as parking for one car, outside the cottage is a lovely decking area. With seating for two and a delightful outlook over the surrounding countryside, it's a great spot for dining alfresco. This property is one of three sitting within the walled garden of the adjacent Vicarage, and guests are welcome to walk around the delightful, shared area between the cottages, when the main gate is open.
