Property code: SZ309

This romantic bolthole, in the picturesque village of Silverdale, offers homely creature comforts and is just 1 mile from the sandy beach. Perfectly placed for enjoying peaceful walks and stunning views across Morecambe Bay.

This bright, spacious bungalow is in the charming village of Silverdale on the South Cumbrian coast. Inside you'll find welcoming accommodation for two people. There's a lovely living room, well equipped kitchen, separate dining room and a conservatory. The bathroom has a bath and separate shower, and the double bedroom is perfect for relaxing in. As well as private off-road parking on the cottage's driveway, there is a wonderful enclosed rear garden.

Spend a morning looking round the independent shops on the high street before treating yourselves to coffee and a slice of homemade cake in one of the lovely village cafes. A 5-minute stroll from the front door will take you down to the beach, where you can enjoy a gentle walk or simply stop a moment and take in the stunning, far-reaching views across the bay. A short walk in the other direction will take you to the delightful Wolf House Gallery, where you'll find a great selection of local art and handmade gifts to admire and purchase. There is also a relaxed and characterful cafe that is well known for its high-quality food and creative menu, so be sure to try it out! There are plenty of local footpaths to explore from the front door too, including to Jenny Brown's Point where you'll be rewarded with fantastic views out to the sea. Walk over the unique Silverdale Lotts towards neighbouring Arnside or explore Arnside Knott itself, a haven for local wildlife.

If you fancy heading slightly further afield, there's plenty of choice for a day out. The whole area of Arnside and Silverdale is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and you'll soon see why. Explore the nature reserves at Warton Crag and Gait Barrows, whilst for keen ornithologists the RSPB nature reserve at Leighton Moss is a must. Why not head south to popular Morecambe Bay? Sign up for a guided walk across the sands (don't venture out by yourselves) or hire bikes and cycle along the picturesque promenade.

The living room of this property is spacious and has a lovely outlook over the garden area to the front of the cottage. Relax on the three-seater sofa or on one of the two armchairs, positioned around the modern electric fire for cosy evenings in. There's also a Smart TV for entertainment. The modern kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and gas hob, fridge, built-in microwave, toaster and kettle. Savour your morning coffee at the stylish breakfast bar, whilst the separate dining room is ideal for enjoying a romantic evening meal. The sun room is a fantastic extra space; light, bright and airy it's a lovely spot to escape to and catch up with a good book. In the conservatory you'll also find a patio set and sun loungers to use in the garden.

A handy utility room houses the mini freezer as well as the useful washing machine, should you need to make use of this during your stay.

Down the hallway you'll find the lovely bedroom. With a double bed and lovely views over the garden from the large window, it's a peaceful room with a wonderful relaxing feel. There's also plenty of storage thanks to the useful built-in cupboards.

The family bathroom comes complete with WC, washbasin, bath and separate shower cubicle. Whether you prefer a relaxing soak in the tub or a refreshing shower, all tastes are catered for here.

As well as ample off-road parking on the cottage's driveway, there is also a lovely rear garden. Mainly laid to lawn and with a lovely, paved patio area complete with pond and wooden benches, it's a lovely spot for a peaceful moment. Enjoy your morning cuppa out here or relax with an evening aperitif; you're sure to feel all the stresses of everyday life drifting away.
