While away several hours at Talkin Tarn Country Park (4.5 miles). The beautiful lake is set amongst 120 acres of woodland and farmland, and there’s a lovely footpath that hugs the shoreline. Hire a rowing boat to get out on the water, followed by a slice of homemade cake at the tearoom overlooking the tarn.
